Pastors Art + Kuna Sepulveda

Art and Kuna Sepulveda are the founders and senior pastors of Word of Life Christian Center, in beautiful downtown Honolulu, Hawaii. They met while attending the University of Southern California, where Art obtained a degree in architecture. After graduating from USC, his passion was to be the best in his field, designing amazing structures, offices, and homes. After marrying Kuna, working in Hawaii for several years, and pressing into God, he experienced a “dream-shift.” Now, instead of designing buildings, homes, and offices, God ignited within him the passion to win souls, make disciples, and build lives! Together, since Sept 23, 1984, Pastors Art and Kuna have been committed to “...holding forth the word of life...” (Philippians 2:16), to build God’s house and build God’s people!

Their steadfast dedication to this call, uncompromised preaching of the gospel, and relentless pursuit after God’s heart for the multitudes has made a powerful impact on the islands of Hawaii as well as the nations of the world! In honor and recognition of their achievements and unwavering commitment to this heavenly vision, Pastors Art and Kuna were awarded the degrees of Doctor of Divinity from Life Christian University on September 5, 2007.

Pastors Art and Kuna have always had a heart for young people, recognizing that they are the future! The desire to establish a Christian school of excellence is not a novel idea to these two pioneers. For 17 years, Word of Life operated an excellent Christian school. Now, 12 years after that season, our pastors have boldly launched LIFE LEGACY ACADEMY!

That dream seed to establish LIFE LEGACY ACADEMY was birthed in the hearts of our founders and took root in the hearts of other dedicated parents, teachers, families, and friends who understand the urgency of the hour. Together, we are exercising our faith because we realize there is a battle for future generations...and we clearly recognize that this is not only a dream but a mandate! Our conviction and resolve are to raise a standard and to raise up a mighty generation for Jesus!
